Contract for the reinforcement of the Sahaajankatu and Siilitie metro bridges, Helsinki
A total of 4 bridges were repaired in the project: the Sahaajankatu metro bridges (165 m) and the Siilitie bridges (135 m).
The reinforcement included strengthening the edge cantilevers by casting and waterproofing them; carbon fibre reinforcement of the deck structure; coating of the entire bridge structure; and replacement of bearings.
A total of 7,500 m of carbon fibre tape was installed, and approximately 5,000 m2 of coating was done.
